PWI Construction named a ‘Largest Phoenix-Area Commercial Building Contractor’

PWI Construction is proud to be ranked in the Phoenix Business Journal’s Book of Lists: Largest Phoenix-Area Commercial Building Contractors. The Phoenix Business Journal’s weekly lists, compiled annually in the Book of Lists publication, provide an in-depth look at the largest and most influential players defining local economies.

Sixty-two commercial contractors were ranked by 2023 Arizona billings for buildings built in Arizona, total billings for buildings built anywhere, the number of employees local and companywide, top local executive, and year founded locally.

“We at PWI Construction are pleased to be recognized as one of the largest commercial contractors in Arizona. Our firm was founded more than 35 years ago as a local homebuilder right here in Arizona. We’re honored to continue to work with some of the best developers, operators, architects, and designers on premier destinations in The Grand Canyon State,” explains PWI Construction Director of Brand & Client Relations Dominica Garza.

Notable Arizona-based construction projects include JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge, Andaz Scottsdale, Four Seasons Troon North, and Tia Carmen (restaurant). To view the Phoenix Business Journal’s full list of the Largest Phoenix-Area Commercial Building Contractors, click here.

Giving back in 2023

Every year, our Culture Committee works together to organize team-building and community outreach events throughout the year.

We are proud of their leadership and the contributions of our team members across the United States. Thanks to their commitment to the community, we were able to collaborate with more than six community organizations, including The Salvation Army of Southern Nevada, Marine Corps Toys for Tots, The Foster Alliance, McLane Children’s Hospital, and others.

We are grateful for the contributions made by all our team members last year. Thanks to their generosity and the leadership of the 2023 Culture Committee, we significantly impacted the communities where we live and work, while also having some fun together. We donated more than $3,400 in donations and monetary funds, and we volunteered more than 30 hours of our time. We appreciate their support and contribution in making PWI Construction a place where we can continue to make a difference in our communities.

Women in Construction Week 2024

We at PWI Construction are participating in the Women in Construction Week, held from March 3-9, 2024, in partnership with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). The aim of this observance is to recognize women’s important contribution to the construction industry, highlight the opportunities available for women in the industry, and draw attention to the increasing role of women in construction. This week-long event will help NAWIC fulfill its mission of empowering and elevating women in construction to achieve greater success.

Women in Construction Week, also known as WIC Week, is a perfect opportunity to celebrate and support women in the construction industry. NAWIC introduced the first WIC Week in 1998, and it has since grown and evolved each year. Many of our local chapters organize WIC Week events, which can include visiting high schools to give presentations, hosting job site tours, organizing luncheons, and virtual events.

This year’s theme, ‘Keys to the Future,’ emphasizes the strength, knowledge, and vital role that women play in shaping the future of the construction industry.

WIC Week provides NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country with a chance to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in construction and highlight the growing role of women in the industry.

NAWIC chapters throughout the country will celebrate WIC Week with a wide range of activities. Please visit www.nawic.org to find a NAWIC chapter near you.
