PWI Construction Completes Din Tai Fung at Scottsdale Fashion Square

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — PWI Construction, Inc. is proud to announce the successful completion of the new Din Tai Fung at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Opened to the public in April 2026, the 10,000-square-foot restaurant marks the brand’s first location in Arizona and a significant addition to the region’s dining scene.
Serving as general contractor, PWI Construction partnered closely with ownership and the design team to bring the globally recognized dining concept to life. The new location seats approximately 340 guests and is expected to create more than 300 hospitality jobs in the Scottsdale area, reinforcing its impact beyond the dining experience.
Known for its meticulous attention to detail and elevated guest experience, Din Tai Fung’s Scottsdale restaurant reflects the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and hospitality. The project required a high level of coordination to meet exacting brand standards—from kitchen build-out and specialty equipment integration to highly refined interior finishes.
The restaurant’s design creates an elevated environment for guests. Thoughtful architectural and interior elements include:
- Warm, refined interiors blending gold, cream, and wood tones with stone, glass, and metal
- An intimate bar featuring a coved wood ceiling, lantern-inspired pendants, a mirrored back bar, and amber tile that subtly nods to the surrounding desert landscape
- A sculptural tree anchoring the main dining room, symbolizing growth and connection
- Banquette seating that creates intimate dining pockets while maintaining overall flow

PWI Construction successfully delivered the project within an active retail environment, carefully coordinating logistics to minimize disruption to surrounding tenants and visitors at Scottsdale Fashion Square.
