Careers at PWI Construction

We're Proud of Our Culture

When you’re part of PWI Construction, you (and your pets) are part of a family.

Our team is always on the lookout for talented candidates with a great attitude and good work ethic to fill a variety of key positions across the country. When we find the right people to hire, we give them an assessment to find where they would fit best within our organization, and then encourage and support their career and personal development. We give them the tools they need to be successful.

We spend so much of our time together, by choice, that it’s imperative we all share a common philosophy of “relationships first” and a dedication to doing things the right way. As a team, we provide the same commitment to quality in every project we take on. We are focused on our three core values – people, integrity and excellence – or p.i.e.

People

People

  • We are people-centered and client-focused.
  • We value relationships and work hard to develop a strong team.
  • We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; we apply a personalized touch to everything we do.
  • We treat each other with respect and dignity. This extends to our pets too.
  • We share our experiences and mentor each other.
Integrity

Integrity

  • We do what’s right and keep our word.
  • We believe in setting an example and leading by example.
  • We are committed to getting the job done right.
  • We practice open and honest communication.
  • We don’t bid a job if we don’t have the expertise and are dedicated to saving our clients time and resources.
Excellence

Excellence

  • We strive for excellence in all we do.
  • We believe in professional development and growth.
  • We are committed to continuous improvement through learning.
  • We deliver value to each other and to our clients.
  • We offer solutions and provide results.

Our Benefits

Working at PWI Construction brings more than just a competitive salary. We offer a full suite of employee benefits like health insurance and 401(k), in addition to the intangibles that come from a true family-oriented company.

  • We foster career/personal growth through education and training
  • We understand family commitments and setting priorities
  • We take pride in everything we do – and that includes having fun
  • We want employees to stay with us for the long term and build their career with us.

Career Opportunities

We welcome qualified candidates seeking new opportunities in all areas of construction. Explore positions we’re actively recruiting for to see if there’s a fit.

Project Coordinator

Working together with our project operations team, Project Coordinators serve as our frontline staff keeping our projects’ administrative and accounting functions organized and running smoothly. Project Coordinators work with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners and are exceptional communicators and time managers. If you are a team-orientated self-starter with a customer service focuse and can-do attitude, you’re encouraged to apply for this position.

Project Engineer

Project Engineers are responsible for schedule preparation, pre-planning, forecasting and assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Project Engineers provide technical and administrative assistance to the Project Manager and Superintendent; reporting directly to the Project Superintendent for field-related activities and the Project Manager for all other activities. If you’re a detail-oriented experienced professional who values teamwork and collaboration, you’re encouraged to apply for this position.

Superintendent

Construction is a team sport. To be a valuable member of the team, we hold ourselves to the highest standard while striving for continuous improvement. We apply a team approach to all phases of the project. Like any good teammate, dependability and a positive attitude go a long way. Those are qualities we embrace daily.

Project Manager

Project Managers maintain a long-term focus on the project. Project Managers set time, cost and quality targets; manage the project schedule and budget; and monitor project progress. Project Managers work with the Director of Construction and Client Experience team to ensure a high-quality, high-value, client experience. If you’re a strategic thinker and enjoy problem-solving, you’re encouraged to apply for this position.

Estimator

Estimators coordinate all activities associated with the overall budgeting, bidding, and trade coordination of a construction project. Estimators analyze project documents to determine the overall estimated cost of a project and are involved with projects throughout the planning, designing, and construction process. Estimators work with trade professionals and the Client Experience team to provide precise estimates with a critical eye for quality and accuracy. If you’re able to see the details in project visions, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively, you’re encouraged to apply for this position.

Testimonial

“Working at PWI Construction has been the best experience thus far in my career. Arriving at work in what can only be described as a family atmosphere, is in stark contrast to most organizations. PWI Construction affords great opportunities to grow, learn, and enjoy the people around you and yourself while doing it.”
