Rolex | South Coast Plaza

The boutique was constructed to embody Rolex’s global design language, requiring meticulous craftsmanship and the precise installation of premium finishes and custom architectural elements. Seamless integration of lighting, millwork, and display systems was critical to achieving the brand’s signature environment.

Developed in collaboration with Tourneau | Bucherer, one of the largest authorized watch retailers in the United States, the space delivers an elevated client experience through refined spatial planning and hospitality-driven design.

A signature feature of the full interior tenant improvement renovation was the floating cloud ceiling system — a freestanding cold-formed structure engineered so that no supports are visible from any angle on the sales floor. Achieving that seamless illusion required precise coordination between PWI Construction’s field teams, the structural engineer, and the millwork contractor, with all framing concealed within a purpose-built interstitial plenum above.

The full scope also included:

• A new mall storefront system
• New HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage systems
• A nine-room program featuring VIP lounges, a watchmaker room, polishing room, and exhibition area

The project was constructed to Rolex brand standards within an active luxury retail mall environment.
