PWI Construction was engaged to complete a property-wide transformation of the 200-acre AAA Five-Diamond Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, California. Updates include a redesign of its 327 guestrooms and suites, newly designed event spaces and public areas, and two new restaurant concepts.
The guestrooms and suites were updated with new décor, artwork, furnishings, and modern touches like hardwood flooring in entryways and sophisticated bathroom upgrades. The oversized suites offer guests a residential character.
The new 6,800-square-foot steakhouse and seafood restaurant/bar concept by Celebrity Chef Richard Blais, Ember & Rye, offers 266 seats, two main dining rooms, and two private dining rooms along with a 3,853-square-foot outdoor terrace overlooking the 18th green.
The new Baja-inspired Ponto Lago – North County San Diego’s only Forbes Four-Star restaurant – features a show kitchen and two private dining rooms and offers a Chef’s Corner and Tequila Tastings.
