Arch Tour Fest: Inside the Gravitas Members Only Club

A Landmark Project in the Heart of Beverly Hills

Located at 435 N. Camden Drive in the iconic Golden Triangle, Gravitas is a 28,000-square-foot private social club that blends high-end hospitality with timeless architectural character. Designed by Kelly Architects, the space embraces Art Deco-inspired design while delivering modern amenities and unparalleled experiences for its members. 

From the open-air garden bar with a retractable roof and temperature-controlled wine lockers, to intimate lounges, private dining rooms, and a state-of-the-art recording studio, Gravitas stands as a testament to meticulous planning, materiality, and spatial richness. The layered design responds to both the social needs of its users and the legacy of Beverly Hills’ architectural heritage. 

Collaboration Across the Building Community

As the General Contractor, PWI Construction played a central role in bringing this ambitious vision to life. Our team navigated complex coordination and craftsmanship requirements to deliver a space that exceeds expectations for both form and function — all while maintaining quality, schedule integrity, and the design intent. 

Highlights from Arch Tour Fest

The Arch Tour Fest hosted by AIA Los Angeles offered attendees a rare behind-the-scenes look at Gravitas, with tours led by George Kelly, AIA NCARB and Carnie Armenian, NCARB. Participants experienced firsthand the architectural narrative of the space, learning about:

• The dynamic transition between exterior and interior spaces

• Circulation design that supports robust social programming

• Lighting strategies for ambiance and spatial definition

• Kitchen layouts optimized for performance and hospitality workflows

• Custom features tailored to member needs and privacy considerations
