Our Solution
The daunting task of relocating and replacing the four lobby escalators paid off in spades. The now-open layout laid way the for a rebirth of the 30-year-old hotel. Walking into the hotel, there's a liveliness with an unassuming sophistication. The elite top-floor M-Club offers the best views of the city, while the first-floor lounge offers travelers and locals alike a place to relax or meet new friends. The design team paid tribute to local artists and artisans. From artwork to tiling, to the new front desk, made of locally sourced one-of-a-kind glass panels, there are bits-and-pieces of San Antonio's culture felt throughout the hotel.
Beyond the result, the project’s success can be attributed to its all-star team. Turner & Townsend, designOne studio, Parker-Torres Design, Marriott management and staff, and PWI Construction worked altogether with the utmost professionalism to quickly solve issues that popped up - as they tend to do on any construction project - ensuring the project finished on time and with minimum impact to the guest experience.
