The iconic Fairmont Hotel underwent a major public space transformation in downtown San Jose. The renovated space included updates to the lobby, lobby entrance, lobby corridors, front desk area, restrooms, and the popular Arca lounge bar. The newly renovated space reflects the energy and vibrancy of Silicon Valley, delivering a modern experience.
The public space modification included custom features like two-way mirrors at TV locations and handmade handrails with curved glass in the sunken bar. The stairs leading to the bar include gold inlays. The bar was assembled in multiple pieces to appear as one piece of marble. The bar also features hand-crafted bar lights.
The cocktail lounge was relocated temporarily as part of the effort. The hotel remained open during the renovation.
