Making back-to-school brighter
Aug 15, 2022
PWI Construction’s Culture Committee – a volunteer group of employees – is appointed to identify local and national community outreach and giving opportunities in support of the firm’s charitable giving mission.
This summer, the Culture Committee hosted multiple back-to-school collection drives to support school-aged children across the nation. Given our nationwide workforce, the Culture Committee identified the Kids in Need Foundation to partner with. Together with PWI Residential, PWI Construction hosted an online Supply-A-Teacher fundraiser to support teachers and students in under-resourced schools.
“We are thrilled to support the needs of classrooms across the country. Many of our team members have school-aged children themselves. The generosity of our team members never fails. We’re proud to help students have a strong start for the new school year,” explains PWI Construction Sr. Marketing & Communications Manager Dominica Garza.
Additionally, our Las Vegas headquarters held an in-office Back-to-School Supply Drive supporting The Salvation Army of Southern Nevada while our Scottsdale office hosted an in-office fundraiser supporting Arizona Helping Hands raising more than $400 in school supplies.
In all, we raised more than $1,100 to fund essential school supplies for school-aged children.
