Celebrating Women in Construction Week 2025

PWI Construction is proud to participate in Women in Construction Week, which takes place from March 2 to 8, 2025, in partnership with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). NAWIC’s mission is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry. The focus of Women in Construction (WIC) Week is to highlight the significant contributions of women in this sector. It is also an opportunity for local chapters to give back to their communities.

WIC Week serves as a platform for NAWIC’s thousands of members nationwide to raise awareness about the opportunities available for women in construction and to emphasize their growing roles in the industry. This observance aims to recognize the critical contributions women make to construction, highlight career opportunities, and draw attention to the increasing presence of women in the field.

WIC Week, which commenced in 1998, celebrates and promotes the role of women in the construction industry. This year’s theme, “Together We Rise,” acknowledges the strength and knowledge of women and their vital role in shaping the future of the construction sector. The week-long event helps NAWIC fulfill its mission of empowering women in the industry, enabling them to achieve greater success.

Many local NAWIC chapters organize various activities during WIC Week, such as visiting high schools for presentations, hosting job site tours, organizing luncheons, and conducting virtual events.

NAWIC chapters across the country will celebrate WIC Week with a wide range of activities. To find a NAWIC chapter near you, please visit www.nawic.org.

Let’s honor the remarkable women who are making strides in the construction industry. Women in Construction Week is dedicated to recognizing the achievements, challenges, and contributions of women in this essential sector.
