Giving back in 2020
2020 was a year like no other. With the emergence of the novel coronavirus, our 2020 Culture Committee – a volunteer group comprised of PWI Construction employees responsible for designing community and employee engagement activities – worked with ingenuity to meet the newfound needs of our team and community.
As the year started, they organized COVID-19 care packages for families of away-from-home team members. As we know, locating bathroom tissue and disinfectant wipes was no easy feat. When we instituted working from home, the Committee planned several virtual social hours, costume contests, and decorating challenges to bring our nationwide workforce together.
At the close of the year, through the 2020 Culture Committee’s leadership, PWI Construction raised more than $18,810 for fourteen community organizations including:
- Bike MS
- Habitat for Humanity
- Kids in Need Foundation
- MD Anderson Cancer Center
- Opportunity Village
- Project 150
- TAO Group Hospitality Cares
- The Salvation Army
- Treasure House Phoenix
“The firm’s Culture Committee serves as a voice within PWI Construction for the needs of the community around us and for our employees. Having their input and guidance is critical to our culture. We’ve built a legacy of community service. The Committee helps us continue that custom while meeting the current needs of our community,” explains PWI Construction Talent Culture Manager Kristin Price.
We at PWI Construction are proud of the 2020 Culture Committee’s accomplishments and for continuing our tradition of giving back.
