Women in Construction Spotlight: Meet Natalia
Located at our corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, Asst. Project Manager Natalia has more than a decade of experience in construction. We sat down with Natalia to learn more about how she got into construction and her experience in the field.
What got you interested in a career in construction?
I have been working with construction since my college internship around 2010. I majored in Architecture and worked at a company where we had weekly onsite visits to the jobsite. I remember going to the jobsite for the first time and falling in love with the chaos and all of the moving parts and pieces that had to work together for the design intent to be executed correctly. After I graduated, I wanted to be onsite full time and ended up transitioning to a procurement company that also did FF&E install where I was onsite for the entire job. From there, I knew I wanted to go work for a general contractor. A year later found PWI Construction and have been with the company for a little over two years.
What got you interested in a career in construction?
What's your favorite career-related memory?
I like the fact that every project is different and that PWI Construction works with a variety of areas from guestrooms, restaurants, and public areas which makes every project unique and never the same as the previous. Also getting to work with different people on each project is fun
What advice do you have for other women interested in construction? Why is construction a great career field for women to pursue?
Go for it! Work hard, stay humble and always learn something. For me, it’s exciting since every project is different, you always learn something new which is great for your career and in life.
