Lounge chairs by the pool at the London West Hollywood

The London West Hollywood

West Hollywood, CA

PWI Construction was engaged to renovate the restaurant, guestrooms, rooftop pool deck and pool bar  – as well as construct a new lobby bar and lounge at the celebrity-friendly The London West Hollywood – against several challenges.

First of all, a temporary but fully finished out hallway was constructed through the closed lobby construction site, linking the hotel's entrance to the onsite luxury beauty salon, so it could remain in operation during the renovation. Also, when the rooftop pool deck underwent renovation, six giant palm trees were removed by crane and transported to a nursery for four months. Four trees were eventually re-installed on the roof, with the remaining two donated to the City of West Hollywood. PWI Construction proved to be innovative problem solvers with this marquee engagement.

The Team

Kollin Altomare Architects and Richmond International
Architect

The London Bar and Boxwood Restaurant by Kollin Altomare Architects and Richmond International (interior design) was inspired by an English country house, plus lots of natural light and views of Hollywood. The new bar brings new energy to the lobby and restaurant experience, and provides new "function" space for the hotel.
