PWI Construction sponsors 2021 Bridges Gala

PWI Construction is proud to sponsor the 2021 Bridges From School to Work Gala at the Partnership level. Featuring magician and creator of The Carbonaro Effect Michael Carbonaro, this year’s annual gala was held virtually on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, with a Celebrating the Magic of Bridges theme.

Hosted by Richard Marriott, the Bridges Gala is Bridges from School to Work’s only major fundraiser of the year.

Each year in the U.S., approximately 400,000 youth with disabilities exit public high schools. The majority will remain unemployed in the year following high school graduation.

Established by the Marriott family, Bridges from School to Work, simply known as Bridges, has spent 30 years making an impact in some of our nation’s largest cities. Bridges is a recognized leader in youth opportunity programs. Their intensive hands-on approach helps young adults with disabilities find meaningful jobs during and after they complete high school. Bridges match youth with businesses seeking capable entry-level workers and provide the training, mentoring, and long-term support they need to thrive. Bridges have connected more than 20,000 young adults with disabilities to jobs with 5,200 employers in 12 cities.

“Bridges from School to Work is a phenomenal organization. We’re honored to support the work Bridges does daily to transform the lives of young adults across the country. As a member of the tight-knit hospitality family, it’s amazing to see the vision of the founders of Marriott International lived out through the Bridges organization,” explains PWI Construction Marketing & Communications Manager Dominica Garza.
